Orchids

Went to the botanic gardens yesterday and took a look in the orchid house. There’s not much blooming and I was having problems with the flash gun (brain problems, not equipment problems) but in the end I liked these few:

Cathedral City

On the subject of cathedrals, there’s St Columba’s church. Also known as the Gaelic Church or the Highland Cathedral. Very neo-gothic. And it’s across the road from shiny glass-fronted office buildings. It’s a photographic cliché, but this morning I couldn’t resist.

Mixed Bag

We’ve got lots of cathedrals in Glasgow. Three of them are:

St Mungo’s

St Andrew’s

St Tennent’s

OK, the last one isn’t strictly a cathedral, it’s just a big building in the same area where lots of people go to worship.
