Petroglyph National Monument, New Mexico

Petroglyph National Monument has been estimated to contain around 25,000 petroglyphs, mostly carved 500-700 years ago, and a small number up to 4,000 years ago. Arizona, continued…

Spent a wonderful couple of days in Sedona, then a wonderful couple of days hiking at Grand Canyon, now I’m in Kayenta just south of Monument Valley…and I’m having a wonderful time. Spotted the theme yet?
The desert is astonishing…at least to someone used to rainy Scotland.
