Last week I went away on my every-six-months-or-so yoga/chi kung/meditation retreat. This time to Dhanakosa which is on the shores of Loch Voil about 30 miles northwest of Dunblane.
I took the train to Dunblane and cycled from there. Got to Callander around sunset and did the last 15 miles in the dark. [...]

Was out on the bike around Lanark yesterday. Got the train back and came over the Bell’s Bridge at about midnight. The Clyde was more still than seems right for something that’s actually flowing.

Went for a hike up Dumgoyne this morning. Beautiful day, plenty of sun, pretty haze in the valley. People are usually friendly up in the hills – it’s rare to meet someone who doesn’t offer, or at least return, a cheery hello. Today must have been especially-friendly-people day. Met a couple [...]

The fog hasn’t lifted for two days now. Maybe someone’s filming a bad sci-fi movie?
